Pennine Traditional Orangeries

- Create an elegant extension of your home
- More substantial construction than typical conservatories
- Offers maximum natural light, down through the large lantern roof and in through the tall windows
- Side elevations partly constructed from hardwood or stone
The biggest difference between orangeries and conservatories comes in the amount of glass used in the structure. An orangery can best be described as a stone structure with a large amount of glass naturally incorporated in it (unlike a conservatory which is essentially a glass structure.)
Orangeries first appeared on the scene in the 17th century attached to the homes of the wealthy and fashionable. If you are looking for a distinctive, attractive but still affordable orangery, built by expert craftsmen then contact Pennine. Owning an orangery may no longer be the preserve of the aristocracy, but it does still add a distinct touch of class to any home.
Here at Pennine, we build and design Orangeries to suit every need and budget, from small to grand scale.
